La preview d'un nouveau Djinn !!  :o

http://cipher-studios.com/2013/09/haadiya-al-furat/

Citer
Haadiya al Furat is a powerful Djinn that shares her ideals and motivations with the desert spirit Chams al Majid. Along with Chams and Husaym al Din, she is an ally of Hassan ibn-Sabbah and a protector of the Saracen forces in Hell.

Haadiya shares a similar stat line with Chams, and like the other Djinn Independents has Intangible. She also has the Fast 2 ability. In combination with Intangible, this makes her extremely mobile around the battlefield! Running and charging 14 fathoms while ignoring friendly and enemy units, as well as impassable terrain, gives you tactical advantages in board control scenarios and a massive effect range on her orders. She is also Evasive, making her extremely survivable when supported in melee.

On the battlefield, Haadiya closely resembles Chams, sharing a similar role within the company. That is, providing support to her allies. Where she differs however, is that Haadiya’s focus is on the individual, rather than the collective. Whereas Chams al Majid brings a toolbox of auras to buff your allies or deny your opponent, Haadiya focuses on helping or hindering single units with her two orders.

When issued, Impetuous Waters allows Haadiya to grant the Brave state to an allied Muslim within range, allowing you to boost a unit’s speed and combat abilities. It’s easy to see the benefits to melee units like the Pillars of Faith, but Impetuous Waters synergises well with Berber Hunters in particular. An increase to MVT 6 can mean being able to move into a shorter range bracket, while a bump to SHS 4 means that with the use of Vae Victis, the Berber could have that all important reroll. Brave can also be used as a pseudo defensive buff by using it on a wounded ally to mitigate some of the wounded penalties.

Calm Waters on the other hand allows Haadiya to play denial games with your opponent by making a single enemy unit suffer the effects of Slow. Know your opponent needs his Great Damned One of Pride to charge and hopefully kill your Pillar of Faith? Haadiya issues Calm Waters on the GDoP. Your opponent then faces the tough choice to charge anyway to tie your unit up but face a one sided combat, or change tactics with that unit. Watch out though, Calm Waters can only be used once a game, so make it count!

Haadiya has another defensive trick in the form of an aura- Flow Like Water, granting Dodge 2 to affected Units. This effect can seriously mess with your opponent if your affected units manage to disengage from a combat. Also, because Flow Like Water is an Instant aura, allies don’t have to stay clustered around Haadiya to gain the benefits. These abilities, combined with Haadiya’s mobility, means that your company can be very flexible and react very quickly to your opponents tactics and movements.

Haadiya fights with projections from her body. Whilst not the most powerful combatant, she can be very dangerous to armored foes thanks to penetrating strike. She also has the new Forceback ability on her damage table. Forceback allows you to push enemies out of melee with Haadiya, potentially breaking contact with allies so that they may activate freely, or moving enemies away from scenario objectives.

Haadiya brings some interesting abilities and tactics to the Saracen company. She can be very effective in making a smaller, elite company much harder to overrun, somewhat mitigating the companies smaller size. In scenarios like Ambush and Scavenging, her speed buffs, Calm Water and the Aura can mean the difference between achieving objectives or getting bogged down in combat, while Forceback can be gold in the Defense scenario, potentially pushing scoring units out of the objective.
